Your free hostd.it / hostdservers.com address
Every server gets a friendly domain - short and shareable, included in every plan.
What you get
Every server gets a free address. Which one you get depends on the tier you pick, not just the RAM number:
- Minecraft Java: Heavy and Extreme get
yourname.hostd.it; Vanilla and Modded getyourname.hostdservers.com. - Minecraft Bedrock: Pro and Max get
hostd.it; Lite and Standard gethostdservers.com. - Valheim: Pro gets
hostd.it; Lite and Standard gethostdservers.com. - Palworld: Pro and Elite get
hostd.it; Standard getshostdservers.com. - Rust: Pro and Elite get
hostd.it; Standard getshostdservers.com. - ARK: Survival Ascended: Pro and Elite get
hostd.it; Standard getshostdservers.com. - CS2: Pro gets
hostd.it; Starter and Standard gethostdservers.com.
For Minecraft Java, clients auto-resolve the port via SRV records, so you share the bare name. Other games paste name.hostd.it:PORT (or name.hostdservers.com:PORT). The dashboard shows exactly what to send your friends.
Changing the name
Dashboard → Change (next to the address) → pick a new name. Changes apply in 1 to 5 minutes (DNS propagation). You can rename once every 30 days - we enforce a cooldown so cached lookups have time to clear and your friends don't lose the old address.
Using your own domain
Not a native feature yet. You can CNAME your domain to your *.hostd.it / *.hostdservers.com address for Bedrock and other non-Minecraft games. For Minecraft Java, you'd need to add a matching SRV record at your DNS provider.
